I worked more on my presentation, and talked with Alvin a bit about imaging science and stuff.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh yeah, and I think I totally screwed up. I brought my digi cam to take pictures with, but then I realized I don't really have much to take pictures of. I don't have a lab, I don't have fancy equipment, I don't have anything except data on the computer. So I think most of the pictures will be stuff that's already on the computer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I proofed a jounral for Dr. Kastner today. It was pretty sweet though, we saw a ton of frogs and stuff. Pretty nice trails.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I decided today to start work on my presentation. I'm making an outline, and then I'm going to fill it with what I want to say about each topic, and hopefully I'll remember to bring my digi cam so I can add pics and stuff. I just don't want it to be boring.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For lunch JD and I went to the final talk thing. Well there weren't any talks...But there was free food. It was pretty good, I love Salvatore's pizza (mainly cuz I live off it during the school year). We sat and talked with Jesse and Cory for a while. Cory was hilarious (and quite full). It's got a great beat, and feels very country-ish. I HATE COUNTRY, but I love this song. Zeppelin just makes it work.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Bron-yr-Aur is the cottage in Wales where Jimmy Page and Robert Plant wrote much of Led Zeppelin III in 1970 after a grueling US tour. Basically it's just this thing where we are assigned two incoming freshman, and during the orientation we help them out, get them used to things at Aquinas, try to help them make friends, stuff like that. I've never done it before, so I figured I'd do it this year. Therefor, I didn't get in to work until 11.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I finished up all of the blackbodies for the Oxygen and Carbon rich stars. It's pretty cool. Using the data, I hypothesized that oxygen rich stars are hotter than carbon. I had a long weekend. Friday I went and saw The Wedding Crashers, which is a GREAT movie, very very very funny, I highly suggest seeing it. The problem was, however, that I got home around 1-1:30. Which meant that I got about 5 hours of sleep, and had to be at work for 7:45, which means I got up at 6:30. So I worked until 12, got to see some of the Bills players, pretty cool.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then that night I had racing. The heat race sucked. I wound up finishing 2nd, but I was having motor problems, and the 3rd place car was all over me. I was pretty pissed after that, and I really wasn't expecting much for the feature. We were planning on just getting through the race and coming back next week with the motor fixed. Well, I wound up winning. It was my first feature win in the Sportsman class, and my first win since I was in the go-karts 2 years ago. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's a picture: http://mail.google.com/mail/?view=att&amp;disp=inline&amp;attid=0.1&amp;th=10570082e0618bb0&lt;br /&gt;I hope that link works, if not I'll put up a pic later.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyways, I had to work Sunday from 11:45 to 6, so it was another long day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today I worked on more of the blackbody functions and graphing and all that jazz. Now that I understand it, I have to graph the functions for all the objects, which will take a while. I finally brought my skateboard, so that was something fun to do during lunch. I need new grip tape though, the stuff on there is really worn out.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now I'm off to karate/martial arts. Should be fun. I usually go in to the dojo about an hour early, lift weights &amp; work out, then take class, then stay after for another half an hour or so lifting more weights.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Peace,&lt;br /&gt;Jason&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/14282613-112292972211557225?l=idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/feeds/112292972211557225/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=14282613&amp;postID=112292972211557225' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112292972211557225'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112292972211557225'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/2005/08/song-of-day-apocalypse-please-by-muse.html' title=''/><author><name>Jason</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/15460237551194348557</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14282613.post-112267126396789754</id><published>2005-07-29T17:05:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2005-07-29T14:07:43.973-07:00</updated><title type='text'></title><content type='html'>&lt;h3&gt;Song of the Day: Immigrant Song, by Led Zeppelin&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nothing much really happened today. If you peruse the images accompanying each of the 'PNs' --&lt;br /&gt;i.e., the objects that display very red continua and strong emission lines&lt;br /&gt;and PAH features in IRS spectra -- you will note that all (or nearly all?)&lt;br /&gt;of these objects lie in or near optical (and sometimes near-IR)&lt;br /&gt;nebulosity; more importantly, all are extended in the MSX 8 micron images.&lt;br /&gt;The extended 8 micron emission is most likely PAH emission stimulated by&lt;br /&gt;UV from luminous O stars and, indeed, we have determined (from comparison&lt;br /&gt;of the SL and LL spectra, as well as from analysis of the "raw" spectral&lt;br /&gt;images) that almost all of these objects are extended in the mid-IR&lt;br /&gt;thermal continuum as well. Moreover, Jason estimates that the luminosities&lt;br /&gt;of these objects all lie in the range 4e5 to 1e6 Lsun!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Catherine is hard at work on a draft of a paper that summarizes these&lt;br /&gt;results, in the larger context of our results for classifications of all&lt;br /&gt;objects in the sample as O-rich, C-rich, HII region, or 'oddball' (2 Be&lt;br /&gt;'hypergiants' and one OH/IR supergiant). She's also classified them&lt;br /&gt;according to the system worked out for ISO spectroscopy of galactic&lt;br /&gt;objects by Kraemer et al 2002 (see the 'groupings' links). This 'overview'&lt;br /&gt;paper will also map the classifications onto the 2MASS/IRAC and IRAC/MIPS&lt;br /&gt;colors of the sample, which should then facilitate the direct application&lt;br /&gt;of our results to near-IR/IRAC/MIPS imaging of Local Group galaxies.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our goal is to circulate a draft by the end of August, at latest.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Cheers,&lt;br /&gt;Joel"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;SO yeah. I'm glad the work I've been doing is actually making a difference. It's good to know that all my hard work isn't pointless. Today I did more on the website, and that was about it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The reason why I picked Strategic Grill Locations for the song of the day is that, even though it's not an actual song, I think it's pure audio genius. Mitch Hedberg is my all-time favorite comedian, and as some of you may know, he passed away Wednesday, March 30th, 2005. It's been hard for me, and countless other fans, to deal with the fact that he is indeed gone. Therefor, I figured why not share some of his work with those who may not be familiar with him?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I would post up a bunch of his jokes, but it'd be way too long. So here's a few links to some jokes, his website, and an article about him. &lt;br /&gt;http://www.thedotdotdot.com/humor/hedberg.html (Scroll down for a list of some jokes)&lt;br /&gt;http://www.mitchhedberg.net/home.html&lt;br /&gt;http://www.ew.com/ew/report/0,6115,1080613_7|109124||0_0_,00.html&lt;br /&gt;http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Mitch_Hedberg&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I recommend downloading/buying his CD, because the jokes are about 100,000 times better when he's the one saying them. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;R.I.P. I kind of forced myself to eat it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've been updating the site ever since I got back. It's so tedious! It's ok, it's gotta be done, and I much rather code HTML than code IDL. However, this '80s concept album is an amazing album, especially when you consider the fact that Tony Carey IS THE ONLY PERSON IN PLANET P PROJECT. That's right, Tony Carey did practically everything on this album. Do note that it IS from the '80s, so there's a bit too much use of synths and that sort of thing. It's a bit corny sometimes, but the story it tells is great. It's a rare album, but definitely a good find. I was struggling on whether to choose this or another amazing song, but I'm going to save that other song for Monday probably.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let's see...I did a bunch more coding in IDL today. Nothing new really happened. IDL is a pain, but I guess it'll be worth it in the end. I went down &amp; chilled w/ Dennis for a while in the ultrasound lab. It was pretty sweet, I got to see my heart beat and muscles in my arm and stuff. Uhh yeah, so that's about it...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For anyone who's been following along with the car issue, I think I convinced my dad. I should become a lawyer. So if I get it, I'm thinking about asking my aunt if I could use my grandma's garage as a storage place &amp; shop. I think it'd work out awesome. I'd get a whole 2-3 car garage to myself, for whatever I need. I could rent an engine lift, maybe move some of my dad's tools out there, whatever I need. It'd be great. I calculated it out, and to do everything I want would be around $15,000. Not too bad if you ask me. This includes the price of the car. Obviously I won't have it complete until I'm rich....But it'll fun to start.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;i&gt;Giggity, giggity, giggity!&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jason&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/14282613-112197792999122690?l=idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/feeds/112197792999122690/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=14282613&amp;postID=112197792999122690' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112197792999122690'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112197792999122690'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/2005/07/song-of-day-highway-to-hell-by-acdc.html' title=''/><author><name>Jason</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/15460237551194348557</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14282613.post-112189253575323011</id><published>2005-07-20T16:45:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2005-07-20T13:48:55.756-07:00</updated><title type='text'></title><content type='html'>&lt;h3&gt;Song of the Day: When the Levee Breaks, by Led Zeppelin&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Basic day. Got in a bit later than I had planned (though still early/on time) because of stupid construction. Jeez, it's such a pain. &lt;b&gt;I HAD TO DRIVE MY CAR ON AN UNPAVED ROAD!&lt;/b&gt; It was painful, even if it was only for about 20-30 feet. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had a meeting at 10:30. We talked about....space...stuff. It was confusing. I understood some things, but most of it was over my head. I tried to pay attention as much I could, but I found myself sidetracked by the lady who gives out parking tickets. No, she wasn't hot or anything...I just like to know who it is who's given me 2 parking tickets already. I think she might be half blind, because I had my pass up! So who knows. At least I took care of it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm attempting to learn IDL now. I really need to get back up to my old performance level. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And then after karate - the fateful discussion with my dad. I think I'm just going to fix anything wrong with my current Z, sell it before winter for as much as I can (hopefully $7k or so), save all my money during winter (Christmas &amp; 18th birthday = cash), and then come spring buy a TT Z. It might take me a year to do, but it'll be great.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm currently attempting to convince my mom to let me buy a 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo I found down in New Jersey. It needs some work, but the guy is asking only $4,000 and said he'd accept a reasonable offer. That means I could sell my car for say $6,000, buy the TT for $3,500 or so, fix the turbos &amp; put on a new timing belt, and still have money left over.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We'll see how it goes...&lt;br /&gt;-Jason&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/14282613-112171930936431430?l=idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/feeds/112171930936431430/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=14282613&amp;postID=112171930936431430' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112171930936431430'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112171930936431430'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/2005/07/song-of-day-hey-man-nice-shot-by.html' title=''/><author><name>Jason</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/15460237551194348557</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14282613.post-112146363090438770</id><published>2005-07-15T17:45:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2005-07-15T14:41:33.753-07:00</updated><title type='text'></title><content type='html'>&lt;h3&gt;Song of the Day: Working Man, by Rush&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm dead tired and I want to go home, so this is gunna be short.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dennis &amp; I went and got coffee/tea this morning at Javas. Pretty chill place. Dennis said the coffee was extremely concentrated, so I'm glad I got the tea (Green tea). I don't like coffee anyway.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tour of Melles Griot today, it kicked major ass. Very interesting (for the most part), and it kind of got me excited about a career in imaging. I know, I'm a loser.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lunch was muy delicioso. I cleaned 3 plates for a total of around 4-5 pieces of Hawaiian pizza, plus around 15 breadsticks. It was free and greasy, so I'm not complaining.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I did some more on the old LMC site. Then I went and took care of my parking ticket. Wow, could the walk be a bit longer please?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Came back, graphed some stuff, the end.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am OUT OF HERE. Didn't do anything unusual, but I got to read up a bit on star formations &amp; deaths. Pretty cool stuff. The afternoon was slow, I just did more site stuff. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At some point this morning when I was in the middle of reading the other Blogs, I realized no one really knows much about me. So I decided I'd do a little something like this:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Name:&lt;/b&gt; Jason Alan Cloud Brown&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Nickname:&lt;/b&gt; J (at least at school it is)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Age:&lt;/b&gt; 17&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Height:&lt;/b&gt; 6'1"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Weight:&lt;/b&gt; About 160 and gaining&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Current Car:&lt;/b&gt; '92 Nissan 300ZX 2+2 and a '94 Ford F150 (beater) &lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;School:&lt;/b&gt; Aquinas&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;School Activities: &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1.)Tech Crew for Theatre. I'm the STD (Student Technical Director), which basically means I oversee what happens backstage. I'm not the Stage Manager, I just basically call some cues backstage, make sure flies go well, make sure set pieces get moved properly, fix stuff if it breaks, stuff like that. I build all of the scenery (with help, of course) and design a lot of the stage objects. For example, for &lt;i&gt;A Midsummer Night's Dream&lt;/i&gt; I came up with, designed, and built the waterfountain. I also rigged up all of the fog for that, and ran the fog as well. I really love tech, despite the fact that it basically consumes my life during the school year. During Hell Week, I can be at school from 7 in the morning to 11 at night, and I only go home to sleep. I also give up a bunch of my Saturdays &amp; Sundays for tech. Pretty fun stuff though.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2.)Morning Update. Each day at Aquinas, we do our morning anouncements through a TV broadcast. Everything is run by students, and this year I will be in charge. The past 2 years I was the video board operator, and this year I will be Director as well as board op. We got a lot of cool stuff planned - a bunch of funny skits &amp; intros, good music, funny anchors, good sets, etc. This past year SUCKED so we have a lot to make up for.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3.)Mock Trial. I decided to give it a try this past year...It had it's ups and downs. Mostly downs. Got pretty boring for a while, but we did fairly good. We got all the way to the Finals, but that's where we lost. I probably won't do it again this year.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4.)Chess Club. Yep, I'm a nerd. My dad played chess in highschool and use to be pretty good. He played for Marshall, and he said Aquinas was practically unbeatable back then (he beat the kid he played from AQ though). Things have definitely changed...We all suck. It's fun though, we play every Monday. It's really casual, we're not serious about it at all. The chess meets are fun, because if you get paired against a chess supergenius, then we just do our best to piss them off. We actually won a few games, so I guess the strategy worked...sort of.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Other Activites:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1.)Racing. I've been racing since I was 10 (this is my 8th year, though). My home track is &lt;a href="http://www.limerockspeedway.com"&gt;Limerock Speedway&lt;/a&gt;, which is really easy to find if you ever want to come and watch me. It's your first left AFTER Genesse Country Museum, and it's on your left maybe half a mile down the road. It's the only race track around, just listen for the loud noises and look for a lot of dust.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's a dirt track (well, clay to be exact) that I've been going to watch at since I was about 2. When I was 10, I started racing in the go karts. It took us a while to get competitive, mainly because the go kart we bought originally sucked. The last year that I ran go karts though, which was 2 years ago, I was 1st in points the entire season, right up until the last night. The 2nd place point car, however, had a good night, while I had bad luck. I wound up losing the championship by 6 points!! So close.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyways, now I run the Sportsman class of Micro Sprints. What is a micro sprint you ask? &lt;a href="http://www.limerockspeedway.com/LR-J.%20Blum.jpg"&gt;Click here and find out!&lt;/a&gt; My number is 99, and this is my 2nd year in this class. I'm currently the points leader, so let's cross our fingers and hope I finally get that championship! Wish me luck!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2.)Martial Arts. I've been doing martial arts for about 6 years I believe. My dojo is NorthEastern Martial Arts (or NEMA) in Chili Paul Plaza. I'm currently taking a variety of mixed martial arts, but mainly Isshin Ryu karate and Jujitsu. Though I personally feel that belts and rankings are useless and unimportant, I do hold a brown belt in Isshin Ryu. I prefer street fighting and ground grappling to traditional karate, and before I took a break from martial arts (I'm just getting started again after a break of about 2-3 months) I have to say I was pretty decent at both street fighting &amp; ground grappling.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3.)Paintball. I've gotten out of this a bit because of the expense, but I practically live at &lt;a href="http://www.paintballforum.com"&gt;PaintballForum.com&lt;/a&gt; If anyone goes and joins up, my username there is Jinjiro. I know quite a bit of info on paintball, whether it be your average woodsball or tournament-level speedball.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4.)Computers. I fix/build computers as a side job. I currently have 4 computers in my room, and 2 downstairs. I'm a nerd. 'Nuff said.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Favorite Things:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bands: Led Zeppelin! Also like: Pink Floyd, Tool, Flogging Molly, Muse, Dropkick Murphys, AC/DC, Beastie Boys, Cake, Chevelle, DJ Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Boston, Glay, Guns 'N Roses, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Jethro Tull, Rush, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Queen, Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine, Rammstein, Royksopp, Steppenwolf, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Velvet Revolver, The Ventures, The Who, Yahel, all classical music, probably others/more.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Cars: '90-'96 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo (favorite), '50s-'60s Corvette, '90-'96 Nissan 300ZX Slicktop, Nissan Skyline (R32-R34), Toyota Supra Twin Turbo, Ferraris and other extoics, any '50s-'60s muscle car....Hell, any CAR. Period. Just give it to me and I'll make it fast.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Websites: &lt;a href="www.paintballforum.com"&gt;www.paintballforum.com&lt;/a&gt; &lt;a href="http://www.zcar.com"&gt;www.zcar.com&lt;/a&gt; &lt;a href="http://www.zccr.net"&gt;www.zccr.net&lt;/a&gt; &lt;a href="www.homestarrunner.com"&gt;www.homestarrunner.com&lt;/a&gt; &lt;a href="www.ebaumsworld.com"&gt;www.ebaumsworld.com&lt;/a&gt; And possible my favorite of all time: &lt;a href="www.google.com"&gt;www.google.com&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;TV Show: Family Guy. Hands down. Nothing comes close...Well, maybe old Simpsons. But still, Family Guy owns it. I also like old Simpsons (as said), Futurama, American Dad, Venture Bros (OMG so funny), Sea Lab 2021, Robot Chicken, other Adult Swim shows.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Movie: Star Wars. No contest. Original trilogy, of course. I don't say Star Wars if someone asks me my favorite movie though, because it's just a given. It's so good it is above the list. So my favorite movie besides Star Wars is definitely Fight Club. I also like: Donnie Darko, Ocean's 11, Scarface, LOTR, The Matrix Trilogy, Team America, Sin City, probably others.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Book: Lord of the Rings. Without a doubt, the greatest book(s) since the Bible. Simply amazing books. By the way, I liked/read LotR before the movies came out and they got all popular.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I hope now you know me a bit better. Maybe you like the same stuff I do. Who knows. Tell me about it, I enjoy talking about most of the stuff on the list.&lt;br /&gt;So yeah, now that I've spent 45 minutes on this....I'm going to go home.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;May the Force be with you.&lt;br /&gt;Jason&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/14282613-112137811348427923?l=idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/feeds/112137811348427923/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=14282613&amp;postID=112137811348427923' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112137811348427923'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112137811348427923'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/2005/07/song-of-day-latreralus-by-tool-it-was.html' title=''/><author><name>Jason</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/15460237551194348557</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14282613.post-112129015859703453</id><published>2005-07-13T17:30:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2005-07-13T14:30:02.313-07:00</updated><title type='text'></title><content type='html'>&lt;h3&gt;Song of the Day: Sweet Home Alabama, by Lynyrd Skynyrd&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How about I just typed out my entire entry....And it just got deleted. So I'm attempting to type it out again. It's going to be a bit shorter this time...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today was an average day. I finished the website, so that's 2 websites done in 1 week. Pretty good if I do say so myself. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We went to the student talks today for lunch. Good pizza, I must say. Salvatores is like the Holy Land for any Aquinas student. There's a Salvatores just down the road from AQ on Dewey Ave, and they probably get half their business from AQ students. We buy their $5 pizzas almost every day when staying through for tech (for theatre). The talks were good, though I couldn't really comprehend the math tiling one. I was never too great at math anyway, so who cares. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Space shuttle launch got delayed due to a faulty fuel line, so after lunch Catherine decided to show me a few new things. We put a password on the site, and she showed me a very long process of getting the graphs for each object's spectrum...Or something.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I would just like to make a note that the song of the day could really be a Led Zeppelin song each and every day. They are simply that amazing. However, to be fair to other musicians, I have decided they deserve a chance as well. But you can expect a Zeppelin tune maybe once a week or so. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;i&gt;"If there was a problem, yo I'll solve it.&lt;br /&gt;Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it."&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jason&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/14282613-112129015859703453?l=idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/feeds/112129015859703453/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=14282613&amp;postID=112129015859703453' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112129015859703453'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112129015859703453'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/2005/07/song-of-day-sweet-home-alabama-by.html' title=''/><author><name>Jason</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/15460237551194348557</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14282613.post-112125973705097930</id><published>2005-07-13T05:57:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2005-07-13T06:02:17.053-07:00</updated><title type='text'></title><content type='html'>&lt;h3&gt;Song of the (Yester)Day: Another Brick In the Wall, by Pink Floyd&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Standard day, just another brick in the wall really. Downloaded a bunch of images from SPOT (Spitzer Planning Observations Tool) of different galaxies. A bit too hot out, and I didn't have any water, but fun nonetheless. I didn't get much sleep last night, so I was pretty tired while working on the site. I updated it a TON, and it took forever, and yet I'm still not done. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I saw Andrew Montonaro at lunch today...That was probably the only semi-exciting thing that happened, and it wasn't even that great. I mean it's just Andrew. If I saw Brad Pitt it would have been a lot more exciting. Or Santa Clause. Either, really.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For anyone who doesn't know, today is 7/11. Which means that 7/11 is giving away free 7.11oz Slushies. This is something I suggest everyone take advantage of. I remember when Wendy's had the promotion of giving away free Jr. Frostys a few months ago. Well a friend of mine works at Wendy's, so her and I went to her work and got 50 free Frostys. My friend Tom got about 60, and various other people also got rediculous amounts. I suggest the same with 7/11.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So yeah, site got updated with a bunch more scientific stuff. The end.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Word to your mother,&lt;br /&gt;Jason&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/14282613-112111647487926991?l=idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/feeds/112111647487926991/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=14282613&amp;postID=112111647487926991' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112111647487926991'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112111647487926991'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/2005/07/song-of-day-dazed-and-confused-by.html' title=''/><author><name>Jason</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/15460237551194348557</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14282613.post-112087713258146780</id><published>2005-07-08T22:45:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2005-07-11T04:51:32.396-07:00</updated><title type='text'></title><content type='html'>&lt;h3&gt;Song of the Day: Killer Queen, by Queen&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well here I am again, with yet another post in this stupid Blog.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let's see...Catherine wasn't around when I got there in the morning, so after our meeting I just went to work. I had been told what else to update yesterday, so I was set for quite a while. I just updated more images and links, helping completing the project.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dennis &amp;amp; I ate lunch alone in a random conference room, either because we couldn't find anyone else to eat with, or because we smell. I'm leaning toward the latter.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After lunch, Dennis went on a super-secret field trip to who knows where. At 1 o'clock I went to a weekly journal discussion with the rest of the astronomers. They basically had each read a paper over the week, and today they all discussed what they read and their thoughts. Man, it was really confusing, but at the same time interesting. All I could really understand was a paper on binary stars and blackholes, and a paper on a computerized way to categorize galaxies. Seeing as how they are now getting images of 1,000s of galaxies, they need a quicker way of telling whether they're tight spirals or loose spirals or etc. etc., instead of having a person do it. Either way it was a good way to spend 1 hour getting paid.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After that I finished some more stuff on the website. So thanks to me, the site is pretty much done as far as I know. After that, I got a new assignment...Sort of. It's basically the same thing I've been doing, but a new 'experiment'. I get to create and design the site this time, and make it from scratch. It's nothing new to me, but it's kind of cool knowing that it's a site that astronomers from around the world could be looking at.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Joe liked my pick of Boston for the Song of the Day yesterday. Hope Queen is good enough for him as well.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pfft....Yeah....So....That's about it. Whole weekend with no work....What should I do. Uh.....pfft....Yeah. Not quite sure of what to do with all this free time.&lt;br /&gt;Umm....Guess I'll go do...stuff.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sayonara!&lt;br /&gt;Jason-san&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/14282613-112087713258146780?l=idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/feeds/112087713258146780/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=14282613&amp;postID=112087713258146780' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112087713258146780'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112087713258146780'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/2005/07/song-of-day-killer-queen-by-queen-well.html' title=''/><author><name>Jason</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/15460237551194348557</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14282613.post-112087708588128734</id><published>2005-07-07T20:06:00.001-07:00</published><updated>2005-07-08T19:49:29.726-07:00</updated><title type='text'></title><content type='html'>&lt;h3&gt;Song Of The Day: Long Time, by Boston&lt;br /&gt;DOWNLOAD IT, FOOL&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I've been forced into making this blog by the internship people. I really don't like blogs, I think they're quite pointless. I mean, if someone really cares about what's happening in a persons life, why not take the time to call them or IM them or something? Eh, whatever, this isn't about that, so I'll move on...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Catherine, my advisor for Astronomy, is awesome! She's really nice, and easy to work with. She knows a lot about Unix (Solaris), so I'm happy I'm learning something useful. Unix is a bit confusing at first, but if you have any Linux knowledge you'll catch on quick.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today I updated a bunch on the website. Which website, you might ask? Well it doesn't really matter, because it's password protected. Basically, it's a website that has a lot of data about old stars in the Large Magellanic Cloud, all of which was obtained from images taken by the Spitzer telescope.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The work is tedious, but it has to be done, and it's stuff I'm use to doing at home (sitting at a computer for hours on end). At least I get paid for it now. Plus I'm learning things. It's a good deal if you ask me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Peace out.&lt;br /&gt;Jason&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/14282613-112087708588128734?l=idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/feeds/112087708588128734/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=14282613&amp;postID=112087708588128734' title='0 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112087708588128734'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/14282613/posts/default/112087708588128734'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://idonotlikeblogs.blogspot.com/2005/07/song-of-day-long-time-by-boston_07.html' title=''/><author><name>Jason</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/15460237551194348557</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:total>0</thr:total></entry></feed>
